Tysons Corner, Va. \u2013 March 8, 2016 \u2013<\/strong> Cvent, Inc.<\/a>(NYSE: CVT), a leading cloud-based enterprise event management company, today released its annual list of top hotels for meetings and events in the United States, according to meeting and event booking activity through its Cvent Supplier Network<\/a>. In addition, the company announced its inaugural Top 50 Meeting Hotels in Europe. Featuring approximately 240,000 hotels, resorts and special event venues, the Cvent Supplier Network is one the world\u2019s largest and most accurate databases of detailed venue information. Cvent sourced more than $9.8 billion in meetings and events through its marketplace in 2015.<\/p>\n

U.S. List Highlights:<\/h3>\n

Nashville, as in years past, holds two of the top meeting hotels in the U.S., including the top two spots on this year\u2019s list.<\/p>\n

Newcomers to the top 100 list include Loews Chicago O\u2019Hare Hotel, the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, and Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, to name a few.<\/p>\n

Major metropolitan areas that stand out among the rest include Orlando and Chicago with 12 hotels, and Las Vegas with nine hotels. Other major players include Phoenix\/Scottsdale with seven hotels on the list, three of which rose in ranking from last year, and Dallas\/Fort Worth with six hotels making this year\u2019s list.<\/p>\n

Europe List Highlights:<\/h3>\n

In our inaugural list, Barcelona holds two of the top three meeting hotels in Europe.<\/p>\n

London tops off the list with seven featured properties, following closely behind are Amsterdam and Barcelona, with six properties each.<\/p>\n

Cvent evaluated hotel properties that generated business through the Cvent Supplier Network from January 2015 through December 2015. The properties were ranked according to various criteria, including total requests for proposals (RFPs), awarded RFPs, total room nights, awarded room nights, major metropolitan area (MMA) market share, conversion rate, and the hotel’s unique profile visits in the Cvent Supplier Network. The criteria are designed to provide the most accurate reflection of the top meeting hotels in the U.S. and Europe.<\/p>\n
