National Plan a Vacation Day: Acendas Dreams Part 1

Whether a relaxing Caribbean cruise, lounging on a beachside hammock, taking an adventurous hike to an ancient citadel, a casual stroll through a riverside village or a luxurious tour of Europe’s capital cities, the talented Travel Advisors at Acendas are here to make your dream come true.

With National Plan a Vacation day in mind, we surveyed some of our Acendas team members to find out where they would want to spend 8- 10 days if they had the time and the ability to take off sometime in the next year. Their answers were varied and exciting.

Acendas Dream Vacations

Starting with the big guys themselves, co-owners Gary Davis and Brent Blake, tropical luxury was definitely on their minds.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Luxury Resort, St. Lucia

For Gary, he would grab his wife Jackie and head straight to Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Luxury Resort in St. Lucia. Set within more than 100 acres of pristine rainforest and situated between the two famous Pitons, its stunning white sand beach and exclusivity creates the perfect romantic getaway. While Sugar Beach does have excellent food and an all-inclusive plan, he prefers having the flexibility of enjoying the array of culinary offerings at other nearby luxury resorts such as Jade Mountain and in Soufrière, the nearest town.

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, Kaanapali Beach

Brent really loves Maui. When dreaming of a getaway, Brent’s mind takes him straight to Sheraton Maui on Ka’anapali Beach. He loves the dramatic black sand beach, the authentic design of the resort and the variety of options for entertainment that his whole family can enjoy.

Our Director of Marketing and Communications, Jeff Bollig, has long dreamt of touring Rome, especially the Vatican. 10 days is just perfect for settling in to a comfortable hotel near the Spanish steps and then spending days engulfed with ancient history, beautiful churches and of course, great food!

Florence, Italy

Ted Sullivan, a Corporate Travel Consulant with Acendas, also has a longtime love for Italy. He has planned group tours to this lovely land for many years. When asked how he would like to spend an 8 – 10 day vacation this year, he immediately mentioned his desire to more fully explore Florence and the surrounding area. He’d rent a villa for the week, hire a cook and a driver, (which are both surprisingly reasonable in Italy) and set off to wander the streets of Florence and nearby Lucca, and would also be sure to attend mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi.
