Nearly 600 nautical miles off the coast of North Carolina, the Atlantic island of Bermuda is an ideal destination for a getaway vacation. Known for its picturesque towns with pastel-painted houses, pink-sand beaches, aqua-blue and crystal-clear waters, Bermuda is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Find Something Different in Bermuda

With little to no crime and the ability to easily explore the entire island on your own, Bermuda makes for an enjoyable weekend (or longer) vacation. Visitors will find their famous pink bus system an easy way to visit beaches, shopping areas and tourist attractions like their world famous Bermuda Aquarium, the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Maritime Museum, Crystal Caves and more.

What distinguishes Bermuda from the Caribbean Islands? There are no billboards, no fast food chains, and no beach vendors asking to braid your hair.  Instead, you will find Mediterranean architecture, lush vegetation, dozens of gorgeous pink-sand beaches, high-quality shopping, and culinary choices to impress even the queen. World class golf courses will entice with their luxurious greens and colorful gardens.

You’ll find at least 18 public beaches on the island (and even more hidden coves), but don’t miss Horseshoe Bay Beach, Elbow Beach, and Church Bay. The book “1000 Places to See Before You Die” prominently mentions these south shore beaches as one of those destinations.

Couple snorkeling

Bermuda is a paradise for the divers and those who love the underwater world, offering breathtaking views of coral reefs, shipwrecks, underwater caves and a variety of coral and marine life. Water activities like snorkeling and swimming, deep-sea fishing and glass-bottom boat tours will bring excitement and thrills from viewing the wide variety of sea life found just off Bermuda’s beaches.

Weather in Bermuda is clear and temperate with a remarkably mild climate that seldom sees extremes.

One of the most endearing aspects of Bermuda is the culture. People are warm and friendly. With a mix of British, Caribbean and American culture, you get the perfect mix of old colonial, island vibes and modern charm.
