If you’re like me, it’s this time of year when you start to daydream about warmer weather. “Maybe it’s time to book that all-inclusive trip to Mexico…” you think to yourself. You can imagine ordering your first cocktail on the plane. Ahhh…paradise… until a car horn forces your eyes open and you realize it’s still cold outside and you are at a stoplight, not on that plane, and the guy behind you is honking you away from your perfect daydream.
There is a solution to this winter madness. It’s called “Karisma Resorts” and if you haven’t experienced it then get ready for a gourmet-inclusive luxurious dream come true.

Karisma Resorts
Karisma offers a range of resort options for couples, kids, and multi-generational families. If this is an adults only trip, I highly recommend El Dorado Casitas Royale. Located in Riviera Maya, it’s just a short drive from the Cancun airport.
The El Dorado Casitas Royale offers swim up Casita suites which are beautiful and private. From your room, you’ll be able to lounge on an outdoor sun bed, indulge in a outdoor shower, soak in your own whirlpool and enjoy personal concierge service.
The foodie in me has to let you know about the incredible cuisine! This is not your typical all-inclusive resort. It’s top notch. They call it Karisma Gourmet Inclusive® and it’s fabulous. Most of the food is grown on property (you can even take a tour) and the resort is committed to the finest ingredients. There are no buffets. Instead, you can choose to make a reservation at any of the restaurants or walk-in a few of them and you can even dine at any of the restaurants at the adjoining Generations Resort (where families are permitted) next door. There’s no bill at the end of the meal but you’d never know by the quality of the service.

This resort is truly fantastic which is why I’m willing to tell my friends. My best friend honeymooned there and the last time we went was for our friends’ destination wedding.
