Kathy Sudeikis, Vice President of Corporate Relations for Acendas Travel, has been selected by Travel + Leisure Magazine as one of the World’s Top Travel Agents for 2018.
The magazine identified 117 agents as “A-List” selections, recognizing them for their expertise for specific destinations or packages. They were identified because “they provide incredible insight and unparalleled access that gives you value you couldn’t get any other way.” This list was published in the September 2018 edition of Travel + Leisure and can be found online here. Sudeikis was recognized for her expertise in family and multigenerational travel.
Travel & Leader editors said of Sudeikis, “multigenerational trips may be one of the biggest travel trends, but Sudeikis has been planning them for more than 40 years. When creating itineraries, she relies on her personal experience: she travels with her extended family – 65 people strong.”
Sudeikis has been with Acendas since 1993 and has been in the travel industry for 40-plus years. She served as president of the American Society of Travel Agents from 2004-06. Among her numerous recent awards and honors was her induction into the Mother McAuley/St. Xavier High School Hall of Honor in Chicago in May 2017, and her selection as a top women executive (WeKC) by Ingram’s Magazine in November 2017.

Sudeikis is heavily involved in the Kansas City Community, including her volunteering for Gilda’s Club, a Cancer Support Group. Sudeikis herself is a cancer survivor. Of course, she might best be known for her work in helping to organize “The Big Slick,” a charity event that features actors and comedians with Kansas City roots that helps to fund programs at Children’s Mercy Hospital. One of those stars is Sudeikis’s son Jason.
